When will the flamenco dancers be appearing next??
The food and service was amazing. We ordered mostly off the Tapas menu which did not disappoint. We also order the Chef's choice which included 4 desserts for the cost of 3. All were amazing. Definitely will be back. Don't let the nondescript outside fool you; this is a gem of an atmosphere.
MoreThis place is my favorite. I eat in plenty of restaurants but here I constantly return again and again. The team is very professional and the food they cook is so delicious. I never miss an opportunity to have a good dinner in this restaurant. I highly recommend this place.
MoreDelicious small plates. The figs are so yummy
If your goal is to socialize, and not to eat, this place is for you. If you are hungry, pick another restaurant. Although the food is excellent, and the service is good, the portions are infinitesimal. I don't think I'll ever understand the Tapas concept. They are supposed to be small appetizer plates for sharing. The portions aren't even enough for 1 person, let alone 2 or more. So you have to buy 2 or more Tapas plates per person. And at between $10-$20 per plate, you'll leave alot lighter in the wallet, but still need to eat. Weird concept for a restaurant. I spent $35 which was 1/3 of the check, and needed to grab a burger on the way home because I was hungry. The service is good, the food is tasty, the ambiance is great, but I will not be coming back because when I go out to eat, I expect NOT to be starving when I leave the restaurant.
MoreAwesome place to go. i love Spanish food and they have the best tapas. The service is GREAT. The food is GREAT.
MoreThe food was awfulSoup was cold, shrimps in garlic sauce didn't taste like garlic. Servings were small even for tapas. We sent back the the Bomba appetizer, inediblewe asked for the check and left!
MoreThe food was delicious. We sampled a whole bunch of tapas, my favorite was definitely the empanada. The ambiance of this place is warm and inviting and relaxing and even a bit romantic. I went with a friend, but I could also see it be a great date night place, as well as a girls night place.
Moreholy moly guacamole! great food, awesome svc, nicely decorated restaurant. tell a friend , tell a friend !! 👌
MoreThis place was very clean and had very good food. The flamenco dancer was also very good!
MoreThe most authentic TAPAS this side of the Atlantic....OMG... When we left Seville Spain, I swore there would never be another place like it in the world... I have tried everywhere .... Amada.... and a bunch of other places from New York to Philly to DC..... and this little off the beaten path restaurant in a tiny unremarkable shopping strip is by far the best.... Everything made from scratch... Almost everything except the fresh meats were imported from Spain... That authentic Andalusian Flavor and the smells .... All I can say is WOW.... They even have entertainment every Saturday night .... and the Chef frequents Spain Annually just to stay up on the authentic trends.... This place is unforgettable.... A must visit
MoreAmazing food! Their bacon wrapped scallops are absolutely to die for. Will definitely be coming back.
MoreGreat service. They recently have a chef from Spain over helping to revamp their menu. With this effort they have a special menu with some new stuff on it. If you like seasoning with your meats and stuff it's worth a try to check out a more authentic taste. When I have guest over I will keep it on my list of places to introduce people to.
MoreAbsolutely fantastic experience. The restaurant is beautiful, the atmosphere is fun and relaxing. Our waitress (Julia) was so nice and polite and knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were spot on and our meal was perfect. Man oh man the food was absolutely delicious! So glad we tried this place out - we will definitely go back.
MoreHad a delicious meal!! The food is authentic, it’s a cozy atmosphere, and the service was wonderful.
MoreVery busy, a little slow. Food was a little disappointing. I know next time to order bread.
MoreI went here for a field trip the other day and the food is delicious! I love the sangria and the baked sweet potato!
MoreAre you seeking a great place to dine? Great restaurant, from the decor to food as well as excellent service to the public. This restaurant is a must-visit, it is a hidden treasure!I will visit with friends or family again! The food was prepared perfectly, which I can not say for some restaurants. Thank you for providing quality for the $$$$$!
MoreFabulous food, great staff, reasonable prices. My friends and I all love this place. If you eat at the bar the bartenders are always willing to talk about the food and specials making it even more fun. We try to go 1-2 times a month and have never had a bad experience. Great for groups or just a date night.
MoreExcellent food and service. Great decor. I like ordering different Tapas and then sharing and sampling with friends.
MoreLive performances on Friday’s and Saturday’s. Food is the best I’ve had in awhile. Small plates so order a lot and bring friends.
MoreVery creative tapas and delicious Spanish food, especially Paella. Great service. Definitely a long enough menu worth exploring.
MoreFantastic food and atmosphere. Our favorite restaurant!
Manuel and his staff are incredible! The tapas are authentic and delicious, the service is personalized and friendly. The atmosphere is just charming. Highly recommend
MoreThe food is very authentic and absolutely amazing. This is one of those places that you get excited for knowing that you'll be dining there. The best experience comes from their tapas menu, where you order several small plates of specialty dishes with varying flavors and textures. The meal isn't designed to fill you up fast, but rather send you on a journey with every bite. They have a selection of Spanish desserts as well to complete your experience. I've personally found the service to be fast and friendly, and the atmosphere to be perfectly suiting. HIGHLY recommended.
MoreWe enjoyed a date night out sharing tapas and watching Flamenco dancers. We enjoyed a few rounds of food before the dancing started. The resturant really filled up just before the dancing started. The food took longer to get out of the kitchen with the bigger crowd. Everything we ordered was flavorful.
MoreThis restaurant was amazing. It truly is a hidden gem. We passed by the establishment multiple times and never thought to go inside. We decided to give the restaurant a chance, and as soon as you pass through those second set of doors, WOW. You feel at ease and comfortable immediately. Not only is the restaurant beautiful, but the staff was very attentive. I was a little worried we would be rushed because we arrived at 8:30PM, but this was NOT THE CASE AT ALL! The staff took their time, took great pride in their work and served an amazing meal. I have never had such a warm and welcoming experience at a restaurant in Newark. Not only will my fiancé and I be returning, but we spoke with Mr Manuel about having an event at this wonderful establishment. Restaurant exceeded expectations!!!
MoreI came here for a field trip and the waitresses were very nice and the food was delicious. Also the dancing part was fun. But I wish we got more of the tapas.
MoreVery nice place to eat. Very very good food. Food is the best and made with love. 👌
MoreThe food was wonderful...very flavorful! And our server was so very flexible with all our orders. There were 8 of us and she did a great job taking care of us. The Happy hour menu is delicious and you can find something that will make your taste buds sing! I recommend the happy hour highly!
MoreStumbled upon this gem while in the area. Everything was perfect from the decor, to the server, to the food. Portion sizes were perfect for 2. Every single dish ordered was fresh. Of course we had to try the award-winning tres leche dessert, which far exceeded our expectations. Overall, a fantastic experience!
MoreFirst time here and blown away by the amazing food. The sliders were awesome as we as the table del chef and Parrillada Argentina.
MoreGreat food! Great people!
The food was unique and delicious, the ambiance was great, and the service was fantastic. We got one of the big shared dishes and some tapas; can’t wait to try the rest of the menu when we go back. I would certainly recommend it.
MoreSpanish decor tastefully done. Many tapis plates as well as full dinner offerings. Specials and Happy Hour on a daily basis. Iive entertainment on some nights.
MoreThe best Spanish food in Delaware. Staff is very friendly and charismatic, and the food is delicious and mouthwatering.
MoreWe came down from New York for my daughter and niece’s graduation from UDel. We picked Ole Tapas basically out of a hat. We could not have made a better choice for our special occasion. Beautiful ambiance, great food and excellent drink menu. But what made our visit most special was our waitress Ana. She was so enthusiastic and very well versed and knowledgeable about the Spanish dishes. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. Very classy and elegant also beautiful artwork and Spanish music made it a multi sensory experience of taste, sound and wonderful atmosphere.
MoreOle Tapas is an impressive restaurant with a unique menu. Whether ordering “tapas” (small plates typically shared) or paella “for 4” (more like for 6), you’ll get a genuine glimpse into Spanish cuisine and dining culture. With an array of imported beers, wines, and mixed drink recipes, you can imbibe like Spaniard too. A gem among Delaware restaurants sure to leave you satisfied and telling your friends about your experience. Great for couples and double dates; you can take kids there but definitely not a good place to take very small ones, and you’ll spend at least double what you’d spend taking the family to an actual family restaurant. Service is great! Food is even better! my wife and I ordered 5 tapas and 4 drinks, spent 109$ (drinks 26$, food 63$, tip 20$). Was there for about an hour.
MoreVery very elegant atmosphere.the waitress was really helpful at ordering time since it's a Spaniard restaurant and they kind of have their own way of ordering the meals. She explained to us what the word tapas meant and from there on we were able to make our decision to order. So of this is your first time at a Spaniard restaurant I would definitely recommend asking as well. The taste is amazing. You will leave with a happy and full belly.
